2. We are going to the laboratory to do a practice, where you could see the different separation methods of homogeneous or heterogeneous mixtures. Also, we are going to see the no-newtonian fluids.

Book: Chemistry Oxford. (Pages 58 - 73)

- Activities: 2, 7, 10, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 29, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39.

- Continue with "read and understand science" on page 73.

- For finishing this unit, you have to complete the concept map on page 73 ("study skills") and the glossary proposal on the same page.

We are going to investigate about the periodic table.

For this work you need to search the real uses or applications for the different elements of the periodic table. Each group will work in a different section of the table.

Group 2: Alkaline earth metals
Group 3: Metalloids
Group 4: Non metals
Group 5: Noble gases
Group 6: Post - transition metals
Group 7: Transition metals (Group 1)
Group 8: Transition metals (Group 2)
Group 9: Transition metals (Group 3)
Group 10: Lantanoids
Group 11: Actinoids

Finally, we can build our own periodic table in pictures in our classroom.
